So it's very much more on a lot of those productivity features. But yeah, they didn't really show or talk about the camera experience at all, so it sounds like it's not really intended to be used as a camera phone as most of us use our camera phones today. There's just one single camera on the inside of the screen, presumably that's focused for Zoom calls and things like that. During their briefing, we asked them a question about what the camera was like, and whether there's a rear camera at all.
JC: No, strangely Microsoft has said that the camera is not the focus of this phone. MC: Does it have 15 cameras like every other Android phone? So you can do extra things like running two apps side by side. You can do all the sorts of things that you can with a normal phone, but with the benefit of having a secondary screen. So you have two screens, not really like a traditional foldable where the display folds itself, and it runs Android. It's a dual screened Android phone, so basically you're taking one phone and you slap a hinge and you add another phone screen next to it. So the Microsoft Surface Duo is an Android phone. Julian, can you please describe for us what the Microsoft Duo is? But let's start by backing up and covering the basics. Before, Microsoft marketed the Duo as a multitasking machine for busy professionals who are always buzzing from meeting to meeting, but now of course, it's had to adapt its pitch to reflect the reality that much of its potential customer base is stuck working at home, if they even still have a job. We've talked about the Duo on the show before, but that was before the pandemic, and the way that people use their devices has changed considerably in the months since then. You can buy it right now, it ships in early September and the price starts at $1,399. On Wednesday of this week, Microsoft announced that its dual screen hybrid phone tablet thingy, is going to be available for purchase. But first we're going to look at one newly available gadget, the Microsoft Duo. Now these devices are strange, they're a little bit awkward, they're expensive, and later in the show we're going to talk about the broader foldables market, which is oddly growing more and more crowded. We have you on because it's a topic that you've been covering quite a lot lately, we're going to talk about foldables phones, tablets, eReaders, you name it, somebody wants to put a hinge on it. The rest of it works sometimes, but sometimes you might try to hit a button but the touch registers a few i.MC: All right.
Bottom 1/2" or so of the screen never registers a touch. Hi, We have a touch screen on a CNC machine on our production floor that's causing issues. Hey all,Before I get into the problem at hand, I realize this may be a multi phase problem and the document side of it may only be resolving a specific portion of the problem, but I have to start somewhere. The issue to cut off the fat and make it as simpl.
